ABOUT DOCTOR GINSBURG

Dr. Ginsburg, MD Neurologist

  • David L. Ginsburg, M.D., neurologist, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. Practicing in southern Nevada since 1994, Dr Ginsburg developed a remarkable history of exceptional patient care and clinical neurology education.

  • Dr. Ginsburg received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychobiology from the University of Southern California in 1984, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988. He then completed his residency in neurology, followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. This training provided him with an extensive background in electroencephalography (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), and experience treating a large volume of patients with neuromuscular diseases. This also provided him with a foundation to lead multidisciplinary clinics in partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the ALS of Nevada.

  • Dr. Ginsburg moved to Las Vegas to join Nevada Neurological Consultants. During this time, he developed a very busy inpatient and outpatient practice, and participated in many clinical trials for emerging neurological therapies. Dr. Ginsburg then served as Professor of Neurology at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) School of Medicine, and thereafter at Roseman University College of Medicine. During his time at UNR, Dr. Ginsburg developed the first electrodiagnostic laboratory in Nevada certified by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. In addition to providing outstanding patient care, Dr. Ginsburg helped train the next generation of physicians to serve patients with neurological disorders in our community.

  • As a Neurologist, Dr. Ginsburg diagnoses and treats patients with headaches, stroke, dementia, epilepsy, spasticity, dystonia, brain injury, and a wide spectrum of neuromuscular disorders. He is particularly well known for his extensive knowledge and experience in the performance of electrodiagnostic studies, therapeutic uses of botulinum toxin, and longstanding work with the ALS of Nevada and the Las Vegas Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
